Terms & Conditions
Unless stated otherwise all items are original copper or steel plate engravings or woodcuts, published at or near the date specified. Color is by hand unless noted to the contrary. The expression "original color" means that the item was colored at or about the time of publication. No other representations as to color are made. Measurements are given in millimeters, height by width, excluding margins. Each item is in good condition although some have the usual minor imperfections caused by use. Care has been taken in noting serious flaws. If a buyer is not satisfied for any reason he may return an item for a full refund of the purchase price, provided it is sent back within ten (10) days at the expense of the buyer, properly wrapped, fully insured and returned in the same condition as when received by the buyer. If you wish to return a map to us, please contact us first regarding shipping details. All items are offered subject to prior sale, and remain the property of WorldView Maps, LLC until payment has been received in full. Prices are strictly net and do not include postage.

Condition
Describing a map's condition is highly subjective. That said, I have outlined below a brief method I use to provide a consistent way to qualify the condition of all maps. Even though all the maps are in at least reasonable collectible condition, information on map condition and especially flaws are mentioned. Where flaws are noted, subsequent repairs are mentioned.

Very Fine - The highest classification I use. These maps are clean and bright with a strong map image.
Fine - These maps generally have a clean, sharp image. Paper quality and margin size may vary somewhat. These maps may have some minor flaws (wormholes, minor age toning, minor centerfold or other separations not effecting map image) often depending on print date.
Very Good - No significant imperfections. Flaws and repairs are noted.
Good - Noticeable imperfections but still in a collectible condition. Foxing, weak map image, and/or long separations are mentioned.

Ordering & Payment Information
All orders will be sent by United States Postal Service, UPS or Federal Express, unless I am instructed otherwise, at the customer's expense. It may be necessary to send bulk orders (such as heavy books) by surface due to weight. Payment must be made in US Dollars either on a check drawn on a US bank, money order, cash, direct wire transfer into the company bank account, or credit card. Due to the increasing risk of stolen credit card numbers and resultant charge-backs, we can no longer accept overseas credit cards. This is due in part to the fact that proper address information cannot be obtained electronically for overseas credit cards, which would provide some measure of assurance the card was good. As the merchant, I am responsible for accepting the card and am liable to return any money collected from a fraudulent card usage. Thus, regretfully, payment can only be accepted via wire or US Dollar check drawn on a US bank. Once a history with a client has been established and good credit assured, we may accept a credit card from such a person or institution. I accept American Express, MasterCard, Visa and Discover. There is a 'secure order form' for credit card purchases over the internet. If you wish to use your credit card but do not want to use the order form, you may still telephone me with your credit card information. New York residents will be charged 6.75% state sales tax. Of course, should you have any questions about any map, I will be happy to discuss them with you.

Shipping Information
Maps are usually shipped wrapped in tissue and placed in cardboard tubes or in flat cardboard containers. Shipping costs plus insurance will be charged at cost to the buyer. UPS is not available for international shipping. Orders with a total value over $150 will be sent by United States Postal Service, within the continental United States, free of charge. Any other method of shipping will be at the purchaser's expense.

Privacy Policy
We respect and are committed to protecting your privacy. We will not sell your personally identifiable information to anyone. Nor do we save credit card numbers used for purchases.

Security Policy
Your payment and personal information is always safe. Our Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) software is the industry standard and among the best software available today for secure commerce transactions. It encrypts all of your personal information, including credit card number, name, and address, so that it cannot be read over the internet.
